Dog Teaches Faith

Christians can learn to grow in faith from interactions with their dogs

My Master pushes me to the limits to enable me to go after more, more honorable callings.

Today, I went for a more extended jog than usual. Often about a mile run and half-mile walk was the norm. This time, Cody and I ran for about 3 miles. After that, Cody wanted to stop to get rest, which is what we proceeded to do.

To provide Cody with a challenge in his younger years may allow him to be better in endurance and strength for running in his later years. Even though it may be tiring for him and possibly a new challenge to go farther as well, it is for his good.

In the same way, we should welcome it when our master pushes us to what seems like difficult limits for us. We know that the master knows what He is doing and that He is good. Then, we can trust that even though times seem difficult, it is for our good. Master’s hand is all over our situations.

Philippians 1:6
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Colossians 1:11-12
We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.
